My Life in DPA

Hasil Nukilan Malvindran Proxima

There were a lot of sweet memories throughout first five months travelling in DPA journey with all my friends from different background and working experience in different field of study. First of all, I am glad and happy to be a part of this DPA programme as it not only be a stepping stone for future working life in ministries while it also provide a wonderful platform for us to mingle and develop our interpersonal skills as well as networking with all the other friends and PLK during conducting or organizing any events throughout our DPA programme for the past 5 months. Although we had limited time for preparation for packed schedule of DPA programme and activities, however, with the guidance and support from fellow PLK and PL, we managed to accomplish any given task and event management smoothly without failure.

Furthermore, we had to undergo outdoor modules such as police, bomba and military modules where it had been a challenging and adventurous experience during encountering these modules. Besides that, I would like to thank the organisers and schedulers of these outdoor activities where we had experience in marching and shooting using M4 and Glock pistol for a distance of 100metres and 10 metres respectively. Without this activities, we would miss the opportunity throughout entire life to experience shooting with real bullets and improve our stamina towards physical activity. This had helped us to enhance a healthy lifestyle through compulsory physical training conducted by INTAN team. Other than that, we are trained to be discipline, punctual and always show respect and kind to all including among our friends as well as our PL and PLK and other superior officers we met in our daily life. During our training throughout 5 months, we are assessed by our PLK and PL in different views and aspect and any mistakes will be pointed out to us in order for us to improve ourselves towards zero or completely nil mistakes as PTD is a field and position which cannot make a mistake as it would affect the decision of policy making for the Malaysian people. Therefore, it is crucial and vital for this assessment to be carried out throughout entire DPA programme as it would help each and every one of us to improve our attitude and skills especially the communication and extracurricular skills in development of the country. In conclusion, I hope and wish that all of us from this imperius batch would complete this DPA programme and be successful in the civil service for future development of the country.
